DRESSINGS
Bleu Cheese Dressing
Bold, creamy, and tangy with plenty of crumbled bleu cheese, a hint of garlic, lemon, and Dijon. This classic dressing is especially good with hearty salads, wraps, and grain bowls.
Instructions
-
In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise or Greek yogurt, sour cream, buttermilk or milk, and lemon juice until smooth and creamy.
-
Add the minced garlic, Dijon mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper. Whisk to combine.
-
Gently fold in the crumbled bleu cheese, leaving some small pieces intact for texture.
-
Taste and adjust the seasoning. Add more salt, pepper, or lemon juice if needed.
-
Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water to thin the dressing to your preferred consistency and whisk again.
-
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving so the flavors have time to meld.
-
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Stir or shake well before using.
Simple tip.
For extra tang, add a little more crumbled bleu cheese and an extra squeeze of fresh lemon juice just before serving.
Make it your own.
Use Greek yogurt in place of the mayonnaise for a lighter base, add extra black pepper for more bite, or keep the dressing thicker if you want to use it as a dip.
Perfect for
Keep it thick and creamy for wedges and wraps, or thin it slightly for tossed salads and bowls.
