MAKES About ½ cup
Balsamic vinaigrette dressing with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, herbs, and black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl or jar, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey or maple syrup, and minced garlic until well combined.

  2. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking continuously until the dressing becomes smooth and emulsified.

  3. Stir in the sea salt, black pepper, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes if using.

  4. Taste and adjust the seasoning. Add a little more honey or maple syrup for sweetness, balsamic vinegar for extra tang, or salt and pepper as needed.

  5. Use immediately or transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 1 week. Shake or stir well before serving.

Simple tip.

Let the dressing sit for 15 to 30 minutes before serving when you have time. This gives the garlic, oregano, and balsamic flavors a chance to meld.

Make it your own.

Add more Dijon for extra tang, increase the honey or maple syrup for a sweeter vinaigrette, or add red pepper flakes for a little warmth.
